After Melbourne's long lockdown, attempting to work under the toxic fluorescent lights of a cold garage at home, I'm exceptionally excited to have a studio space again.
I'm now situated at 23A Art Studios In Brunswick St. One of those cultural institutions that have been around since the 80s. Whilst the landscape of Brunswick has changed dramatically since then - the area in which it's situated is one of the last in this area to be under protection from the residential housing developments.
It's an industrial building with a recording studio below. In the day my space is full of air and light. At night the music rises up through the concrete floor. It feels good to be out in the world again.
